Yesterday, we went to the doctor’s office to weigh Audrey and pick up some forms for blood work. She has gained a few more pounds since her last visit. Thankfully, she hasn’t gained too much. In fact, the doctor is very happy with Audrey’s progress. After we went to the doctor, Audrey got her blood drawn. They are testing for birth defects and other good stuff like that. We’re a few days from our 17th week, and we are getting more excited as the days go by.
A few weeks ago, we went to Babies R Us and began looking around and stuff we might need with a little one on the way. While we were there, we set up a registry. The registry is available online here. If you see anything on there that you know is junk, please let us know. We just started our registry, so this is just the beginning. There will be plenty more coming.
I took some pictures of Audrey this morning. She is definitely starting to show. I noticed she has quite a bulge that wasn’t there before. I looked at some pregnancy material, and this week, the baby is about the size of a softball. It only makes sense that she is beginning to show. I will post the pictures as soon as I get home this evening.
A few days short of our 15th week, we visited the doctor for the monthly visit. Audrey has lost another pound, but that is because she is eating right. She’s been eating a lot of salads and vegatables. The doctor measured her belly, and we got to hear a heartbeat. The baby’s heartbeat is still around 150 bpm. In a few weeks, they are going to do a Level II Ultrasound where a doctor will perform the ultrasound, and the images will be much clearer and detailed. At this time, we will be finding out the sex of the little one. They are also going to screen the blood for birth defects at that time.
