Our Weekend
Back to work. Ugh. The long weekend was nice. We were visited by Brian and DJ, our friends from college. Brian and DJ brought their (almost) 3 year old Mattie along with them, and we all had a blast. It was a nice visit. One day, Alex will enjoy chasing Mattie around in an attempt to get some smooches. We didn’t do anything exciting per say, but we had a good time hanging out around the house just catching up and talking about old times.
Another highlight of the break was Alex’s two month check up with Dr. Paroulo. Alex is in the 90% for his head size, length and body weight. He weighed 13 lbs 14 1/2 ounces, and he is 23 inches long. Dr. Paroulo did an exam and said that Audrey and I were doing terrific, and used the word ‘perfect’ several times to describe our baby boy. :) After all the good talking was done, then they bring in all the needles. Alex received 5 shots on Monday, and he cried for every one of them. Poor fella. We gave him some childrens Tylenol and he slept the rest of the day and evening. He woke this morning at 7:00 a.m. with bright eyes and smiles, so he is good to go!
