Wish us good luck in our weekend excursion. At 3:30, we hop into the SUV and make a mad dash to Oklahoma. We are staying the night with some friends in the Tulsa area and then will rise bright and early for a toy sale. Audrey wants to pick up some toys for Alex, and apparently this place has some low cost toys.
After the sale, we will head to Grandma and Grandpa’s house. They haven’t seen Alex in a couple months, so it will be a nice visit. As always, the guard dogs and the neighbors will be guarding our fortress of solitude, so don’t even think about breaking in to steal the diapers.
We will be taking both the video camera and the digital camera, so we should have some video or photos from the weekend. When we return I promise to update the appropriate sections and I will even send out a new newsletter updating Alex’s progress.
Wish us well.
Alex survived his first babysitting. Last night Audrey and I went our for Valentine’s Day and left Alex with some friends. The line was long at the Cheesecake Factory, but it was worth it. The OREO Mudslide cheesecake is darn yummy.
Alex was asleep when we dropped him off, he was asleep when we picked him up. I hope all experiences go as well.
I just went back and looked at all the pictures of Alex, and I can not believe how much he has grown. We have seen all the obiovus signs. For instance, his swing has to be set on medium just to rock him, we are buying new socks every week, his feet hang off the end of his chair and he is quickly growing in and out of cloths. In fact, I decided that it was time that Daddy went shopping, so I stopped in at Hooters on Saturday for some wings, and while I was there eating lunch I purchased a bib for my favorite boy. He looks great in it!
Tomorrow he goes in for his 3 month pictures, so there will be some new portraits added to the web site soon enough.
Have a great Tuesday!
Kids grow fast. Alex is getting big. He is growing out of his cloths so fast. Everytime I pick him up, he seems to be heavier. I sure do have fun with him, though. He’s pretty cool. Everyday he has a chat with us as we dress him in the morning. He tells us about his dreams the night before. For instance, last night he chased rhinoceroses with a butterfly net. He’s a mess.
We have a pretty good routine now. We get up at 6:30. Audrey showers first while I play with Alex. Then it’s my turn. Audrey feeds Alex, we get him dressed, and drop him off at daycare by 7:30. This allows us enough time to get to work by 8 so Audrey can ‘gather the milk’. After a day at work, we pick Alex up by 4:30 and we get plenty of evening to spend time with him. He has adapted to the schedule well, and is the most layed back baby I have ever seen. He just doesn’t really get upset about much. I am thankful we have such an agreeable baby, and hope this continues into his 20’s. :)
I hope your week is going as smoothly as ours. Call or e-mail sometime. It’s been too long since I’ve talked to you.
