Old Photo

Can you guess where I am in this photo? A friend (Thanks Greg!!) sent me this photo in e-mail this evening. I didn’t even know this photo existed. Can you believe I was skinny? For those who can not tell, I am the squirly kid in the glasses and tube socks. See me now? Oh yeah, I had to be in the center of the photo. This was taken when I was in the second grade. My teacher standing in the back was Mrs. Radebaugh. The mother of the child being cool in the yellow shirt on the front row. It was an amazing time. Sometimes I wish I could go back there. As always click on the photo and you will see a larger version of the picture.

Alex: The Computer Nerd

I kind of thought it might happen. From when Alex was only 4 months, he would try to grab my phone or the TV remote. Soon, he began sitting with me at the computer and he would lean to try to use the keyboard. When he is on the floor in the living room, he crawls to the throbbing lights on the receiver and DirecTV/TiVO unit. At almost 8 months my son is a computer nerd. As any loving father would do, I got an old keyboard and mouse out of the closet, and added it to his collection of toys. He loves them. In fact, he plays with the mouse and keyboard so much he often gets tangled in the cables. Sure I watch to make sure he doesn’t get it caught around his neck, but he does love rolling around on the floor with the mouse in his mouth. What a stinker. Father’s Day

Father’s Day was great. I received a card from Alex this morning. It is amazing - Alex and Audrey have the exact same handwriting. It’s been warm lately, so we spent some time in the pool. Alex loves the water. I’ve been dunking Alex to get him used to going under the water. He kicks his legs and moves his arms, so hopefully he will be an early swimmer. His mother and I are working on it. He enjoys sitting in the water and slapping it. It splashes in his face, but he isn’t bothered by it.

In other news I’ve gotten the majority of the web site redesign done. There is only one thing left to do: Integrate the site navigation into the photo section. Speaking of the photo section, I was able to migrate all the photos from the last 4 years into the new redesign. I only wish I could have salvaged the journal from last 4 years. Anyway, it went pretty well. No applause necessary.

I hope your father’s day went as well as mine. Have a great week! Night.

Happy Birthday Dave’s World!!

Not many of you know this, but Dave’s World turned 10 years old this week. To celebrate, Dave’s World got a make over. I am still working on code migration, but I should be finished by the end of the weekend. Also, I am trying to migrate all the photos over to the new and improved photo section.

Happy Birthday, Dave’s World!! You look so good for being 10 years old! : )
