Uber good holiday
I got up from the gutter, brushed myself off, coughed up the last bit of vomit that was still in my throat and walked the rest of the way home. Wow, what a New Years celebration.
This could have been me. The fact that people do this to themselves on a regular basis boggles my mind. Like a lot of other young people, I did my fair share of underaged drinking, but I am glad I outgrew it. Most of my weekends and evenings are spent in uneventful setting of my home office or living area. Sometimes I sit with Alex falling asleep in my lap, and other times Audrey gets the privilege. I am not being sarcastic. I find it a privilege when Alex chooses me as his bed. As I rang in the New Year, many thoughts ran through my head. I had a terrific 2005. This was one of the best years of my life. I couldn’t help but feel blessed that God had trusted me with a little life. Audrey and I are truly lucky people.
As a Christmas gift I received a book, Your Best Life Now by Joel Osteen. Mr. Osteen is one of our clients, and I have been wanting to read this book, and I have to say that this book is truly amazing. Joel is such a wonderfully positive person, and this book gives some really great information on how to have a better life. Pick it up and start reading - it’s hard to put down. While I am talking about books, I got Audrey, Blue Like Jazz for Christmas. This is another great book. Go read it.. now! :)
I hope everyone reading this message had a great Christmas. It was a good one this year. My last day of vacation was today, so it is back to the grind tomorrow. As much as I love my job I can not help but be sad that my vacation has some to an end. We are always so busy at work there is little time these days to relax and reflect. Perhaps as a New Years resolution I should try harder to leave work by 5:00 every day to get home to my family.
