My Birthday

Alex Drinks a Mexian CokeAnother birthday came and went. I only received a hand full of happy birthday’s, which is surprising because its not exactly easy to forget my birthday these days. There are a close few who remembered, and of those Alex was there to celebrate with me. We picked up some mexican food from a local taqueria, and had a quiet evening at home. Alex snuck a drink of my Mexican Coke’s when I turned away. I thought it looked so funny I had him pose for me while I took his picture. I am proud to say that he has his Daddy’s sense of humor.

The last couple of days have been pretty peaceful. Work has calmed down a bit after we transitioned work back over to one of our larger clients. This allowed my team to focus on more productive and interesting projects. We have recently picked up work for the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and have been tasked with creating a Spanish site for them. In addition, we are going to be redesigning the web site for Paula White Ministries. That will be a nice change from the maintenance we have been performing for Joel Osteen, Lakewood Church and TD Jakes.

This weekend we are gathering friends to celebrate my birthday. It’s a week late, but this is the best time we could get everyone together. My 32nd birthday also included a trip to the dermatologist to have some spots examined. It’s pretty depressing to be told, “Oh, these things start showing up as we get older”. I guess it could be worse.
