First, lets get the marketing hoopla out of the way. Apple says this on their web site:

Wonderful Time of the Year

Posted by David on Wednesday, December 27th, 2006

Christmas MorningThe last of our guests left this morning after breakfast, and Audrey is trying to get Alex down for a nap. I thought this would be a perfect time to get something posted.

This Christmas was really special. I was able to get all the family down to Texas this year for the first time ever. We had Audrey’s mother, father and brother drive down Saturday evening. Saturday afternoon, Cheryl, Jason, Kaitlyn, Mom and Christian arrived. It was a house full, but we had a great time. We all got up early on Sunday morning to attend our church’s Christmas Eve service. They presented a wonderful Christmas drama along with a great message. We came back to the house and had a great Christmas Eve dinner — turkey, dressing, casseroles, desserts, etc. We fixed all that and didn’t even burn the house down. I was proud.

Christmas Eve night, we opened a few gifts, and gathered to read “Twas the Night Before Christmas”. The kids loved the story. We left milk and cookies for Santa then put the children to bed. The adult stayed up to play some poker and watch television. Luckily, we got a photo of Santa just as he was leaving the house. When the children woke on Christmas Day, they were surprised to see a note from Santa thanking them for the milk and cookies.

We opened the rest of the gifts, and enjoyed some last minute time before Jason, Cheryl, Christian and Mom left for Oklahoma. Unfortunately, my mother had to work the day after Christmas, so they couldn’t stay. Audrey family stayed a few more days, though. The next day, we hit some Christmas sales and even went to the Studio Movie Grill to see Night at the Museum. It was a great movie for all ages. Alex even enjoyed it, and actually stayed awake during the entire movie.

It was truly a Merry Christmas this year. This afternoon, we have a Audrey’s first doctor’s appointment. The little one inside Mommy must be 6 weeks or so now, so we’re looking forward to see him/her in the sonogram.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I still don’t know what we’re doing for New Year’s, but I am sure Audrey will be telling me soon. :)
