Apple iPhone 3G

Posted by David on Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

First, lets get the marketing hoopla out of the way. Apple says this on their web site:
Introducing iPhone 3G. With fast 3G wireless technology, GPS, support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, and the new App Store, iPhone 3G puts even more amazing features in your hands. And just like the original iPhone, it combines three products [...]

Post Christmas Post

Posted by David on Friday, December 29th, 2006

As many of you know, 2006 has been a rough year for our family. Just as the year started coming to a close, I lost my father. Within a week, we were given some good news — Audrey was pregnant. However, that, too, has turned to sadness as Audrey miscarried her pregnancy. We visited the doctor on the 27th, and her urine tested positive as being pregnant. She was seven weeks along, and the doctor asked her if she wanted to do an ultrasound now, or wait until the 9 week mark when they normally do an ultrasound. With Audrey’s history of having one other miscarriage, she wanted to know for sure. The ultrasound revealed that the yolk sac has developed, but there was nothing inside of it. The doctor also reiterated that 1 in 4 pregnancies will result in a miscarriage, and there is nothing we can do to prevent it. As you can imagine both Audrey and I are very upset. It makes it doubly hard, because we told all our friends and family and we were all excited about it. We have some friends who don’t tell anyone until they are months along for this very reason. We’ve talked about it, but we’re not the kind of people that can keep that stuff secret — we celebrate life, and enjoy telling the world. I guess this is the price we pay for it.

On a much lighter note, I have thoroughly enjoyed being home with my family. My company and team members are so awesome to allow me to take this week each year. I am truly blessed to work with such incredible people who treat me like family. This is much different than previous companies where I have worked.Serving Time at Kendall Square - Read the entire story Recently, I mentioned one of my former companies and just how bad it was. I have republished this blog posting from 2003 to give everyone an idea of how bad it really was. Warning: The posting contains profanity as my former employer was not very professional when he became angry.

Yesterday evening, we went to get some dinner, and stopped by Toys R’ Us to get the final gift from Grandma. She left Alex money, so we were put in charge of getting his gift. We decided on the GeoTrax Rail & Road System Big City Lights Center. Alex is really enjoying his trains, so we have been expanding his GeoTrax collection. He loves to get down on floor level with the trains and watch them move around the track. This afternoon, we are going to put up that HUGE obnoxious tent that Aunt Cheryl got him for Christmas. That will keep him busy for a while.

New Years Even should be fun this year. We’re going to meet up with several friends, and have a big celebration at their house in Melisa, Texas. We’re looking forward to a much better 2007. It’s going to be a great year for the Pruitt family. Please be careful and stay safe over the New Years. Take care.
