Where does the time go? You wouldn’t believe how Andrew is growing. He is our little Buddha. He is rolling over easily now, he get his arms and legs under him and arch his back. He will be 6 months on the 7th, so he may actually be walking earlier than Alex did. If you remember, Alex was walking at 10 months. We’re having a good time with Andrew. I have added some recent photos, but there are more on my Facebook page.
Have you ever spent 11 hours in the car with a 6 month old and a 3 1/2 year old child? I don’t recommend it. I mean, vacation is great, but when you have a car load of children it should really be called ‘Time off work’. :) We did have a great time in Tennessee, though. We visited my brother, Terry, who has several acres of land just south of Nashville. We had a chance to visit, do some shooting and enjoy being with family. My sister, Cheryl, went as well, which made it even more fun.
Our next vacation will be to Branson. This trip will be sans chiildren. Alex and Andrew will be staying with Nanna and Pappa for a few days while Mommy and Daddy get some R&R.
I will take some time and post more updates when I am not at work. Have a safe and happy July 4th!

Summer it here, and it is HOT! Audrey and I loaded up the Family Truckster
and went to San Antonio to visit our good friend Vanessa. Her husband, Marty is actually stationed over seas right now, so we missed him.
While we were in San Antonio, we took the kids to Sea World, and man, what a disapoointment. It was so hot the day we went, and there were lines for the water park all day long. Did you get that? There were long lines just to get in the water park. Anyway, we stayed close to the kids section and allowed Alex to play in the water. We saw some shows, and left very hot and miserable. The good news is that Alex got to see dolphines, whales and sharks, so he was perfectly happy with the trip.
The first thing we did when we got home is went to the pool. This was the first time I had a chance to get Andrew in the pool, and he loved it. This is also the first time I had a chance to pick Alex up and throw him around in the pool. He doesn’t like to go under the water, so he was a little apprehensive at first. After a couple tosses, he decided he really enjoyed it.
We have a couple more vacations planned this summer. We have a three night stay at a resort in Branson sans the kids. Yay! Finally, we’re spending a week in Tennessee with my brother and sister. We’re really looking forward to that.
There are lots of things to talk about with the kids, but I have to get back to work, so I will save the stories for another time. I will, however, leave you with some photos from our adventure. Enjoy!

I feel horrible. I took a day off from work, because I have been congested with a sore throat and throbbing head. It all started when we went to a Frisco Rough Riders
baseball game on Monday evening. I guess sitting outside in the wind all evening must have gotten me sick. I didn’t feel well yesterday at work, but I have gotten progressively worse. I slept in until 11:00 a.m. this morning, which I never get to do anymore with 2 children. Daycare called at noon, and Andrew was running a fever. Audrey was in a Ft. Worth at a teachers conference, so she had to come rescue us. I have a good wife.
In other news, Andrew is getting big. This weekend, I will post some photos of him. Big brother Alex is still enjoying being a big brother. In fact, Alex enjoys helping people. He has a huge heart like his mother. Recently, we have some friends stay the night with us. They came in town from Tulsa and went out for dinner. As we put their small son to bed, he began to cry — missing his mother. Alex went in to his room, laid down next to him and while patting him on the leg began to say, “It’s okay.” It was precious. I am so proud of Alex.
I have checked my mail and posted to my blog, so it’s time to lay down again. I hope you all are doing well.
Here we are again. Another month goes by without an update. Since I am sure you are here to hear about Alex and Andrew, I will start there.
We had a bad scare with Andrew several weeks ago. He spent some time in the hosptial recovering from RSV
. It was sad because his little body was so small, he could cough up all that crud in his chest. The good news is that he is all better now. At the time of his check up, he was 13 pounds, so he certainly isn’t underweight. This week, he is 12 weeks old.
Alex had his last soccer game 3 weeks ago. He loved it. We’re going to get him into another league this summer, but we’re taking some time off for a couple vacations. As Alex is getting older, he is more and more fun. He really enjoys hanging out with his Daddy, which is awesome because we get along so well. Maybe because we’re on the same mental level? :) On another awesome note, he is actually using the potty. It’s rare that he has an accident. Yay!
Audrey is doing pretty well. We’re trying to make sure we spend enough time with Alex so he doesn’t resent Andrew. He still shows Andrew a lot of affection. It’s pretty cute to see Alex stroke Andrews head while saying, “I love you little brother.” I am sure all this will change as soon as Andrew is old enough to get into Alex’s toys.
That’s it for now. I will try to do better about taking more photos. Night.
