Today, we went to White Water. While Audrey, Merle and Willie rode the big slides, Alex and I watched. Audrey won the race down the hill. She actually killed her competition. We all had a pretty good time playing in the water. Willie and Audrey got sunburned, but Alex, Merle and I baked to a nice brown. We ended our day in the wave pool. While we were waiting for the waves to start, Alex said something funny. Here is the video.

After White Water, we all went back to the house and rested up. After our naps, we cleaned up and went to the Dixie Stampede. We’re stuffed. We just got the kids in bed and now it’s off to the hot tub. Our vacation is almost over. :(

Vacation has been great. Day 5 is similar to Day 2 in that we spent most the day at Silver Dollar City. We rode a lot of the same ride only this time we had to wait in line. We rode the Lost River and this time I recorded to entire trip.. that was kind of cool. You will have to check out the video.

Tonight, Audrey and I are leaving the kids with Nanna and Pappa and going out. We’re going to go to dinner and then a show. Oh, I wish I had another week. I am not ready to go back on Sunday.

We’ve recovered from Day 3 of our vacation. We spent 9 hours at Silver Dollar City. The first 6 hours or so was in the rain, but it turned out well because it kept most of the crowd away. This allowed us to stay on a ride and ride as many times as we wanted without any lines. On the first ride, Thunderation, we ran into a little stag — Alex was an 1/8 of an inch too short. While Alex waited, we devised a plan. We stuffed his shoes with anything we could find. We rode a few more rides — Flooded Mine, the Train, Wild Fire, Fire in the Hole, American Plunge and the Lost River and then we took him back to Thunderation to try again. This time when they measured him he passed!! Alex LOVED the roller coaster, so we decided to try a bigger coaster — Powder Keg. This one was a little too much for him, and he didn’t like it near as much. In all, I think the final score was: Fire in the Hole 6 times, Flooded Mine 6 times, American Plunge 2 times, Wild Fire 5 times, Lost River of the Ozarks 3 times and the train twice. I was water logged. We grabbed some Mazzio’s for dinner and go to bed early. We’re not sure what is in store for today.

Audrey captured the video below on our third round of the Lost River of the Ozarks. As always, obnoxious Dave is screaming, “We’re going into the Belly of the Beast” as we head into the tunnel. Oh my.

Blogging from Branson: We checked in to our condo today in Branson, and things are going well. We went swimming, and I took some video of Uncle Jason tossing Alex. Uncle Jason, Aunt Cheryl, Kaitlyn and Christian are with us through Wednesday. On Wednesday, the Sraders are heading home and the Bacon’s are spending the rest of the week with us.
